Blackholes

A blackhole is caused when a star comes to the end of it's life. When a star is born, it fuses into a proto star, because of the high temperatures, that starts nuclear fusion in its core. The nuclear reactions that takes place in the star, causes pressure that balances out with the force of gravity that stablises the star to burn on for billions of years, using hydrogen as its fuel. Pressure is a force that acts upwards, and the force of gravity acts downwards on the star, these opposite forces balance out, preventing gravity from crushing the star.

Nuclear fusion is caused when a proton of hydrogen collides into a another proton of hydrogen. When they collide with the right amount of energy, the 2 protons fuse and stick together to form a helium atom with 2 protons. When you keep adding protons to the atom, it changes into a different element, the more protons you add, it will form heavier elements until you get to iron and nickel. Over billions of years, the star will eventually use up all it's fuel of hydrogen, because all the hydrogen is converted into heavy metals, and energy, because of the process of nuclear fusion. That's why the sun radiates out large amounts of energy, such as electromagnetic radiation, light, ultra violet and heat.

When the star has finally used up all its hydrogen, the nuclear reactions inside the star's core comes to a halt, and there is no more pressure, and this makes the star unbalanced, and the star becomes heavy and dense.

The star then collapses under its own gravity, and the gravitional force increases and crushes all the mass of the star into a tiny small point, about the size of a pea. Think about all that mass that is concentrated into a small area, the gravitational force would become powerfully strong, and this would distort the fabric of space and time. Gravity would stretch space and time so much, it would rip a hole in the fabric of space and time.

The escape velocity, is the speed to escape the gravitional field of the Earth. If the planet is larger, like Jupiter, the escape velocity increases, because larger planets have a stronger gravitational field, compared to Earth which is small.

A blackhole has a powerful gravitational field, and the escape velocity would be equal or stronger to the speed of light, and this means that nothing can escape out of the event horizon of a blackkhole, not even light, because its gravity is so strong, and impossible to escape. The event horizon is the point of no return, it's inside the radius of the blackhole. If you go beyond that point, you will never to return to this universe again. If you send a text message, no one will receive the signal, because signals travel at the speed of light, so the signal can't escape out of the black hole, and nothing in the universe goes faster then light. So you would be doomed, and nobody can say what's inside a blackhole, because time would stop too, according to Einstein's general theory of relativity.
